I'm Funda, and I'm 62 years old. When I consulted Dr. Levent about cervical and lumbar disc herniations, I received both an epidural injection and anaesthesia within 15 minutes. Hello everyone. A month or a month and a half ago, I went to hospital with severe lower back pain. I was diagnosed with a grade-four lumbar disc herniation. I saw four different doctors; they all said I needed surgery, except one who suggested physiotherapy. It was a grade-four, ruptured disc. But I did not want surgery, and I did not think physiotherapy made sense. Somehow, I found Dr. Mehmet Levent Deniz.

When I came to see Dr. Mehmet, I was in terrible pain. I could not stand, bend or get up. I was only comfortable lying flat. Dr. Mehmet recommended an epidural injection as a non-surgical option, and I chose it. The procedure was brief, about 15 to 20 minutes. The next day I stood up straight and, day by day, my pain went away completely, even the small aches. I came for one follow-up. Now I have fully returned to normal life. It is as though I had not spent that month or month and a half with disc pain; I suddenly resumed my old, normal life.

I personally recommend it to everyone. If you have this kind of pain, I would not recommend dealing with surgery or very lengthy physiotherapy. After a 15- to 20-minute procedure, you feel like yourself again. As you can see, I have no pain now, and I'm very happy about that. I have carried on with my work; I did not have to stay away for long. I went back to work five days after the procedure. I am living normally now and would recommend it to everyone.

Hello. I came to Dr. Levent in 2018 because of a cervical disc herniation; my physiotherapist had recommended him. I had unbearable pain that started in my arm. After the doctor's examinations, we decided on an epidural injection. I would not call it entirely non-surgical: it was a small procedure, lasting 15 minutes, without general anaesthesia. It went smoothly in the operating room before I knew it. It has been a little over two years; there is no trace of my pain, and I am living normally. I recommend this procedure to friends I meet who have cervical or lumbar disc herniations. It was easier than surgery, and I had no side effects. I wish everyone a speedy recovery.

Hello everyone, I'm Ceren. I had neck pain for months, and one day it became severe. I went to an orthopaedic doctor who said I had a serious herniation pressing on a nerve in my arm. My nerves were compressed, and I had unbearable arm pain. I spent days at home without sleep, crying. Painkillers and everything else did not help. We saw another doctor we trusted, and he referred us to Dr. Levent, saying he specialised in this. Several doctors had said I definitely needed surgery because the compressed nerve could cause me to lose strength in my arm.

When I came to Dr. Levent, he examined me and said that, because I had not yet lost strength, there was a very good chance I could avoid surgery with a spinal injection. Apparently the chance of not needing surgery after this injection was quite high. It was an easy procedure. I went into the hospital, and it took less than ten minutes. It hurt very little; I felt only the needle when the anaesthetic was given. After that, I felt nothing. Everyone was friendly. I felt no fear or tension in either the clinic or the operating room.

I felt better immediately after the procedure; the pain was gone. The doctor even had to warn me, "Ceren, the medication was just given. Don't lift things; take it easy." As he had told me, once the anaesthetic wore off after five or six hours, some of the pain initially returned for about two days. Then it gradually diminished and disappeared.

As you can see, I can now move as I wish. I went from someone who could not find a comfortable position at home and was always crying to how I am now. I really did not need surgery. I am grateful every day that I found Dr. Levent. If you have this kind of pain and have been told you need surgery, I think you should see Dr. Levent first. If he says surgery is needed, then so be it. But it may really not be necessary; you can get your life back.
